As part of "Pint of Science" Ross Forgan (University of Glasgow) gave an entertaining talk on the benefits (suncream, never smelly socks) and dangers real (nanotoxicology) and imagined (grey goo). He also alluded to his own work on chemical molecular machines that may be useful in the future of medicine delivering drugs on demand and only when and where needed.
